Maternity sessions are so special with the excitement and anticipation of a new life coming into the world. We had the pleasure of photographing Mary and Chris (and baby Gracelynn) at their 39th week of pregnancy. We can only imagine how sweet little Gracelynn will be once she arrives. The stormy weather didn’t get us down, the opposite it inspired us as the clouds served as a soft box with beautiful light.
Mary and Chris, Kahil Gibran said it best in his book entitled “The Prophet,” “Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you. And though they are with you yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts. For they have their own thoughts. He concludes “you are the bows from which your children as living arrows are set forth.”
